The AHSN Network and innovator Qbtech have been shortlisted for Best Mental Health Partnership with the NHS in the Health Service Journal (HSJ) Partnership awards, which recognise top performers in the health and care sector.
The submission featured the AHSN Network’s Focus ADHD programme, which is helping to transform Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) services across England. All 15 AHSNs have been supporting rollout of a computer-based test (QbTest), to measure attention, impulsivity and motor activity all at the same time to support ADHD diagnosis in children. The technology provides an objective assessment and helps patients and their families receive a quicker diagnosis.
Figures released during ADHD Awareness Month (October 2021) show that, since the start of the first ‘demonstrator’ site in the East Midlands in 2017, 52,000 children across England have had an objective assessment for ADHD using the QbTest technology developed by Qbtech.
Tony Doyle, Founder of Qbtech said:
“We are humbled to be shortlisted for this award. Partnership is the keyword here, the shortlist reflects the hard work of the AHSN Network and the Focus ADHD programme, which has now brought objective testing for ADHD to 51 NHS trusts since its inception. A demonstration of how technology, innovation, and leadership combine to get results for patients and their families.”
