The Oxford AHSN is running a series of four free webinars covering the basics of real world evaluation in healthcare.

This is webinar 3/4.

Real world evaluations of new medtech, digital health technology (including AI) and diagnostics are usually required in order to generate the evidence needed to support the adoption of these new technologies at pace and scale. The evaluations aim to demonstrate the value of the technology in real-use settings, in terms of patient, system and NHS workforce benefits.

This webinar aims to provide innovators with a broad overview of what should be included in a real world evaluation and how these activities differ from clinical trials. We will also cover how to successfully engage stakeholders from the NHS, and potentially patients too, as well as the outcomes and main objectives to aim for. We will draw on real world examples.

The format of this webinar will be a 30-40 minute presentation, followed by time for questions. This is the first in a series of four weekly webinars. They will be recorded and made available to watch on demand via the Oxford AHSN website and YouTube channel.

These webinars cover the basics of real world evaluation in healthcare. They draw on successful partnerships with industry and the NHS facilitated by the Oxford AHSN. The sessions are aimed at innovators and clinicians who will gain valuable insights into how to gather real world evidence and move closer to getting their innovations adopted by the NHS and benefitting patients.
