We’re hiring: AHSN Network National Programmes Director

  • Two year secondment / fixed term contract

  • Band: VSM

  • Remote working with regular travel across England

We are seeking a committed and capable senior leader to provide the AHSN Network with end-to-end oversight and support of the Networks national programmes, ensuring their successful establishment and delivery.

The suite of national programmes form an increasingly important part of the work of the 15 Academic Health Science Networks (AHSNs) and their successful delivery is a fundamental part of the ability of the Network to articulate success and ensure it remains a recognised and valued partner of NHS national stakeholders.

The post-holder will work with the national programme managers and lead chief officers to maximise impact across the Network, supporting delivery and proactively ensuring shared learning, as well as key national stakeholders. The post-holder will also become a member of the Network chief officer group.

In return, you will be rewarded with a unique opportunity to work at the very heart of national healthcare transformation as we move through the most challenging period in the history of the NHS.

The post is advertised as a two year secondment, although two year fixed term arrangements may also be considered.

If you would like to know more about the role please contact Mike Burrows, AHSN Coordination Director, contact details below.

Applications in the form of a CV and covering letter should be submitted to Mike Burrows at mike.burrows@nhs.net.

The closing date for applications is Tuesday 6 April 2021.
