Cheryl Crocker, currently Patient Safety Lead for East Midlands AHSN, has been appointed to the full time role of Patient Safety Director for the AHSN Network, and will be a key member of the AHSN Network leadership team.
Natasha Swinscoe, AHSN Chief Officer Lead for Patient Safety, said: “Our programme of patient safety work increasingly spans all three of our national AHSN commissions. Cheryl’s new role is therefore a timely opportunity for the Network to both consolidate the multiple patient safety programmes and ensure their effective delivery, while also raising the profile of the important contribution AHSNs make to patient safety in the NHS.
“With Cheryl’s support, the AHSN Network has recently developed a patient safety strategy, which sets out our ambition in delivering the NHS Improvement / NHS England national vision for patient safety.
“I’m sure you’ll join me in congratulating Cheryl and wish her well in her new role. We very much look forward to this new chapter for the AHSNs in our work to support improvements to patient safety across health and care.”
