Our people

Sian is an experienced communications, marketing and engagement professional with 10 years’ experience working in senior communications roles in the NHS – including for both commissioning and provider organisations. Sian started her career as a journalist before moving into sports PR, working in press operations at major sporting events as well as leading communications for the British Paralympic Association.

She is a chartered PR professional and has a postgraduate certificate in health communications, a diploma in PR from the CIPR and professional journalism qualifications.

Outside of work – Sian is a Trustee on the Board at Active Gloucestershire and also volunteers on the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) Health Committee as Treasurer.

Sian is the strategic communications and engagement lead on our senior leadership team. She oversees our AHSN Network Central Communications Team, which is responsible for our website, social media, newsletters and events, as well as managing stakeholder engagement, media relations and public affairs.
